Volunteer with DSASTX at the 2026 Walk & Stroll!
The Down Syndrome Association of South Texas (DSASTX) is excited to host the 26th Annual Walk & Stroll of South Texas on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at River City Community Church!
For 26 years, our Walk & Stroll has brought families, friends, and the community together to promote awareness, acceptance, inclusion, and opportunities for people with Down syndrome. What began as a simple walk has grown into one of the largest and most meaningful celebrations of our Down syndrome community.
This one-mile family-friendly event will feature music, face painting, inflatables, a train, petting zoo, exhibitor booths, food trucks, and plenty of opportunities to celebrate together!
Most importantly, the Walk & Stroll is DSASTX's largest fundraiser of the year. Funds raised help DSASTX provide year-round programs, resources, education, and support to the more than 1,400 children and adults with Down syndrome and their families throughout South Texas.

Volunteers are an essential part of making this incredible day possible! Whether you are helping with registration, welcoming families, assisting with activities, supporting vendors, helping with setup or cleanup, or simply bringing your energy and enthusiasm, your time makes a difference.
