Description

In this session, we will discuss how tutoring and coaching sessions happen. What is the difference between a tutor and a coach? How do coaching and tutoring complement each other. How to recognize students who are unlikely to ask for help. We will also share examples of student experiences and their impact.

Objectives

Participants will leave confident in their ability to explain tutoring and coaching to students. We will also build on our previous session and discuss where they see tutoring/coaching into their work, and finally, if engagement will only be referrals to our department, how can they make intentional referrals.
