The mission of Keep Athens Clarke County Beautiful (KACCB) is to educate and empower citizens and businesses with the resources to take action as environmental stewards of litter prevention, waste reduction, and beautification.

Our Goals
  • To promote beautification efforts in the community
  • To maintain sustained litter reduction
  • To promote the proper handling of solid waste
  • To enhance environmental awareness through education
KACCB accomplishes this mission through a wide range of community projects and volunteer opportunities including, but not limited to!: Bring One for the Chipper Christmas Tree Recycling, MLK Day of Service, Rivers Alive, Trash to Treasure Sale, Cigarette Litter Receptacles and Pocket Ashtrays, Ramp Beautification Plantings, Adopt A Highway, Adopt Athens, Green Schools, the School Garden Network, Tree Planting, the Community Toolshed, the Litter Hotline, Cell and ink recycling, and education campaigns such as "Seriously, Y'all Still Litter?", the Cigarette Fairy, Littervention, and Buck.
