The Psychiatry Interest Group provides an opportunity for medical and PA students to explore the field of psychiatry, gain insights into mental health care, and engage with professionals and peers who share a passion for mental health. We host events throughout the school year such as guest lectures and networking opportunities, allowing members to learn more about the diverse subspecialties within psychiatry, including child and adolescent psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, and neuropsychiatry. By participating in a Psychiatry IG, students can deepen their understanding of the field, develop essential clinical skills, and explore potential career paths in mental health care.
