About

The Center at ACCA, formerly the Athens Community Council on Aging, is a nonprofit community hub helping adults and families age and live well in northeast and east Georgia. We believe aging is not a decline. It is a dynamic and powerful chapter of life. At ACCA, we are reframing aging, not as something to fear, but as something to celebrate, expand, and live fully. Whether you are navigating retirement, caregiving for someone you love, adapting to health changes, or simply looking for connection and purpose, you belong here.

The Center at ACCA is a trusted provider of aging services, caregiver support, and community programs in Athens, Georgia and surrounding areas. Founded in 1967 as the Athens Community Council on Aging, our organization has supported individuals and families for decades through:

  • Meals and food access programs
  • Transportation services
  • Dementia resources and caregiver support
  • Medicare and benefits counseling
  • Care navigation and coordination
  • Active living classes, travel, and community engagement

You can learn more about The Center at ACCA and how to volunteer with us by visiting our website.
