For more than 20 years, Chicago Cares has been building stronger communities through volunteerism. Founded in 1991, Chicago Cares is the citys premier nonprofit volunteer service organization. We provide opportunities for individuals and corporations to improve the Chicago community through participation in creative, structured group volunteer programs that address Chicago's most pressing needs, thereby greatly building the capacity of hundreds of agencies and schools across the city.
Chicago Cares strives to address community need while building an informed, productive, and active citizen base. Guided by our program expertise, our volunteers experience firsthand the challenges others face, and as a result, they develop a deep and lasting sense of civic responsibility.
