Description
Volunteers In Public Schools is a non-profit organization that strives to make a difference where it matters most, in the lives of our children. There are several ways you can get involved with VIPS. 

Our programs are flexible and work around your schedule. Volunteer hours are during the normal school day (8am-3pm). Our EveryBody Reads and EveryOne counts run from late August to May. 

  • EveryBody Reads program: Individualized reading assistance for students in grades Pre-K through 2nd who have been identified as reading below grade level. The time commitment is 30 to 45 minutes once a week. You are expected to do a minimum of 10 visits with your student. A one hour training and background check are required to participate in this program.
  • EveryOne Counts program: Individualized math assistance for students in grade Kindergarten though 3rd who have been identified as doing math below grade level. The time commitment is 30 to 45 minutes once a week. You are expected to do a minimum of 10 visits with your student. A one hour training and background check are required to participate in this program.
  • Partners In Education: Partner with a school for an ongoing or one time project based on your interests and the school's needs
