About
Volunteer With River Roads Music Festival to Help Restore Local Waterways Before the Music Starts
The River Roads Music Festival is more than a day of incredible live music — it’s a community-driven effort to protect and celebrate the environment that inspires it.
In partnership with Rising Sun Presents, the Lower Merion Conservancy and the Municipality of Norristown, River Roads is organizing volunteer opportunities focused on cleaning and restoring local waterways throughout the region. Whether you’re a longtime fan, an environmental advocate, or simply looking for a meaningful way to give back, we invite you to join us at one of the volunteer events below.
On June 27, 2026, River Roads returns to Heuser Park with an unforgettable day of music, local vendors, food trucks, and environmental action.
Founded and headlined by acclaimed singer-songwriter and environmental activist Dar Williams, this year’s lineup features 10,000 Maniacs, Billy Bragg, Shawn Colvin, Susan Werner, Miko Marks, and Amythyst Kiah.
“The River Roads Festival has been a wonderful new home for my music and musical friends, my deep love for American rivers, and alliances with good organizations that keep our rivers clean and healthy. The Philly area, particularly King of Prussia, is my first home, the first place that welcomed me thirty years ago, and River Roads will be there soon. I can’t wait!”
– Dar Williams, Founder of River Roads Music Festival
Presented in partnership with Rising Sun Presents, an independent live event production company based in Ardmore, PA, River Roads creates a unique gathering centered on music, conservation, and community spirit.
