Campus Kitchen at the University of Kentucky

The Campus Kitchen at the University of Kentucky (CKUK), an affiliate of the Campus Kitchen Project (CKP), is an on-campus student service organization that provides a sustainable approach to reducing food waste, while also providing healthy meals to those struggling with food insecurity, both on campus and in the greater Lexington community. Throughout the past nine years of operation, CKUK has recovered more than 57,000 lbs of food that would have normally gone to waste and transformed it into 25,000 meals for community members and students in need. Our mission is to use food as a tool to strengthen bodies, empower minds, and build communities.
