We provide free transportation and support services to home-bound socially isolated senior citizens in Travis County. Our mission is simple, but our IMPACT is big: we provide hope and companionship to a marginalized group of seniors who can often be overlooked in their community.
The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have taken an already vulnerable, isolated population and exacerbated their food insecurities, social isolation, and fear. Drive a Senior-ATX has been working tirelessly to address these cherished community members' new depths of need. Besides FREE transportation, we provide friendly calling, grocery shopping, food pantry delivery services, light home repair and yard work, prescription pick up, and referral services.
Between the West and North Central regions alone, we completed over 13,000 services in 2023 to Austin seniors in need. We could not have done this without the help of our enthusiastic volunteers, generous contributors, and partnership with our dynamic city.
