The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona opened in 1976 and presently distributes enough food to prepare 48,000 meals every day of the year.Over 225,000 people are assisted every month through our programs, 40 percent are children and 12 percent are seniors. We serve the five counties in southern Arizona with our main location in Tucson and Branch Banks in Marana, Green Valley/Sahuarita, Amado, Ajo and Nogales. Volunteers worked over 120,000 hours last year, the equivalent of 50 full time employees.
Mission: Through education, advocacy and the acquisition, storage, and distribution of food, we will anticipate and meet the food needs of the hungry in our community.
