Learning Tree Farm

Our mission is to engage people in hands-on, nature-based learning in a timeless farm setting!

We are a private, non-profit educational farm located in Dayton, Ohio. Founded in 1973, Learning Tree Farm's environmental education model, still used today, connects children from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds with nature to inspire environmental exploration, understanding, and stewardship. Interact with our animals, sample fresh produce in our tasting garden, explore our woodland trails, and play on our nature playscape - all on our 85 acre farm!

Annually, we host more than 7,000 students on field trips and more than 8,000 people through community programs, events and our award winning nature preschool. For nearly 50 years, the farm's ability to connect children to their environment and to inspire learners of all ages has cultivated a significant and lasting passion for nature in our community.
