Gardens at Gus Garica community garden

Founded in 2013, Gardens at Gus Garcia is a community garden on City of Austin park land that partners with local non-profits, including Austin Parks Foundation, the St. David's Foundation, and others. We have a diverse garden, including a Senior Serenity Garden, an urban orchard, and a keyhole garden.

Garden plots are available for lease on a yearly basis to persons living in the surrounding community. Access to the Senior's garden area is granted to members of the Seniors Group at the Gus Garcia rec center. Community beds are about 5x16' for $50 per year. Sign up today! We have 28 garden plots. Community garden days are scheduled monthly, usually on the second Saturday of the month in the morning, which offers opportunities for the public and volunteer groups to tour the garden and/or help maintain the garden.
