Metro Animal Shelter is a 501c3 non-profit organization that opened its doors in July, 1994.&nbsp; Our mission is to provide resources, programs, and information needed to build a more humane community that values animals and promotes compassion and kindness towards them, embraces responsible pet ownership, and promotes the animal/human bond.&nbsp; We hope to inspire community involvement in animal welfare and motivate the public to embrace responsible lifelong pet ownership. Interested in becoming a regular volunteer?&nbsp; Just follow the steps below.

<li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Once approved, go to the <a href="https://tmas.givepulse.com/event/231427" target="_blank" rel="noopener">&ldquo;Volunteer Orientation &amp; On-Site Training&rdquo;</a> volunteer opportunity, watch the associated video, register, answer the associated questions, and finally choose a time slot that works best for you.</li>
