GPAC is a multidisciplinary performing arts facility whose mission is to serve the community by presenting the highest quality artistic endeavors to EDUCATE, engage, enrich and transform.
Opened in 1994, GPAC has an acoustically perfect, 868 seat main stage theater, Watkins Studio Theater and oversees two outdoor performances spaces. GPAC presents world renowned performing artists in a variety of genres, year round educational activities for all ages, rotating visual art exhibits and many community events welcoming over 100,000 visitors annually. The organization benefits from the infrastructure of a professional organization that possesses a clear direction, strong financial health, and a committed board of directors.
The Grove is designed to be an outdoor reflection of GPAC&rsquo;s indoor space, aiming at the same level of experience, quality, diversity of talent and educational experiences, presented in a lush, shady setting called the TruGreen lawn. There is a covered 40&rsquo; by 60&rsquo; stage that features a giant 18&rsquo; by 31.2&rsquo; extremely high- definition video screen. The screen is mounted on a trolley, allowing for it to be moved upstage and &ldquo;become&rdquo; the performance or downstage to assist or enhance a performance. All types of performances are possible &mdash;theater, dance, orchestras and every genre of music&mdash; and there will be both ticketed and non-ticketed events. There is a paved entrance plaza, called the First Horizon Foundation Plaza, to welcome guests, featuring a large covered bar, seating areas, performance areas for small combos, the Donor Wall, art areas and more. There is also parking and electricity for four food trucks and a VIP area.&nbsp;
The Grove&rsquo;s park-like setting can accommodate approximately 1200 guests at a wide variety of events, some specifically for families and some intended more for grownups, attracting folks seeking a more casual atmosphere in which to enjoy the arts. In this way, The Grove will serve GPAC&rsquo;s needs as well as those of its primary arts users by attracting new audiences and providing an exciting alternative performance space. Qualifications

Must be physically capable of performing all volunteer tasks.

Able to stand for at least 90 minutes.
</li>
<li aria-level="1">
Able to bend and lift at least 10 lbs.
</li>
<li aria-level="1">
Able to read small print in low light.
</li>
<li aria-level="1">
Able to hear, understand, and follow verbal or written directions.
</li>
<li aria-level="1">
Able to easily walk up and down stairs without assistance.
</li>
<li aria-level="1">
Able to be alert and think quickly in an emergency.
</li>

For a Volunteer to Remain in Good Standing, You Must:

Be willing to perform various tasks as assigned by the house manager.

Be dependable and on time. Attend the pre-show meeting and be able to work the duration of your assigned shift, including up to 20 minutes after the performances end.
