The Campus Kitchen at the University of Kentucky (CKUK) is an on-campus student service organization dedicated to reducing food waste while providing healthy meals to individuals experiencing food insecurity on campus and throughout the greater Lexington community. Through hands-on food preparation, meal support, and kitchen operations, volunteers play an important role in turning recovered food and available resources into meals for those who need them. CKUK provides volunteers with an opportunity to make a direct impact in the community while gaining experience in food preparation, food safety, teamwork, and service.
Our mission is to use food as a tool to strengthen bodies, empower minds, and build communities.
