| Description | Also sometimes referred to as Eastport Cemetery, Knoxville's oldest Black cemetery is estimated to hold the graves of an estimated 5,000 freedmen and slaves, and is being restored under the leadership of Knoxville Re-Animation Coalition. Volunteers at this site will use hand pruners for Euonymus in trees and hand pulling on the ground for vines and smaller privet and honeysuckle. |
