2024 Preservation Celebration and 55th Annual Preservation Awards

The 2024 Historic Athens Preservation Celebration Downtown Excursion invites guests to explore selected downtown sites before the awards ceremony at the Morton Theatre. Hard hat tours of the Southern Bell Building and the Costa Building are open to add-on ticketholders only.

Note: Not all sites offer formal tours; some are self-guided, some have staff available for questions, and some provide guided tours.

Volunteers will help guests with directions, provide information about the Downtown Excursion site, and ensure all sites are left clean and tidy after the event.

Guests can speak with owner Nona Thompson, who has been transforming the top two floors into a vacation rental.
