Downtown Academy-After School Program Volunteer

Downtown Academy’s Afterschool Program offers our students an enriching environment where volunteers assist with homework, engage in outdoor play, participate in fun activities, and build lasting relationships. Through consistent involvement, volunteers model leadership and help uphold the academy’s values. Partnering with our families, this program ensures children are nurtured daily while parents have peace of mind knowing their kids are in a safe, growth-focused space.

After School (ASP) operates Monday through Friday from 3:10 PM to 5:30 PM throughout the Downtown Academy school year. We ask volunteers to commit to at least one academic semester, though many choose to stay for a year or longer to provide even greater continuity for our students. To promote consistency, we request that volunteers attend on a weekly or biweekly basis and commit to staying for the full program duration from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM.

*All ASP and Downtown Academy volunteers are required to submit a Background Authorization Form, allowing Downtown Ministries to run a background check prior to volunteer commitment.
