Make a Difference Day 2026

Help us take care of the well-loved bike path that connects campus and the Chico community! By volunteering, you’ll help create a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming space for students, cyclists, and neighbors who use the path every day. 💚

What you’ll do:
🗑️ Pick up litter and recyclables along the path
🌿 Clear small debris and flag any larger items that need additional support
✨ Help keep this popular commuter and recreation route clean, accessible, and cared for

What to bring:
👟 Closed-toe shoes that are comfortable for walking
💧 A water bottle
☀️ Sunscreen and a hat, depending on the weather

Accessibility note:
This project takes place outdoors and involves walking, standing, bending, and picking up items along the path. Volunteers may encounter uneven surfaces, changing weather conditions, and ambient noise from cyclists, pedestrians, nearby traffic, or other outdoor activity. Volunteers will work in a small to medium-sized group.
