Volunteer Coach at the November 2026 Fix-It Clinic

As a Sewing Repair Coach, you’ll help extend the life of clothing and textiles while teaching others valuable mending skills. You might work on anything from hemming pants or sewing on a button to replacing a zipper or patching a tear.

What you’ll do:

• Before the clinic opens to the public: Work with fellow volunteers to repair items dropped off by community members who can’t attend in person.

• During the public clinic: Guide attendees as they learn to troubleshoot and repair their own clothing and textiles.

We’ll provide:

• A list of registered items in advance so you’ll know what to expect.

• Basic sewing supplies and tools (feel free to bring your own favorites).

• A light lunch before the clinic opens to the public.
