Planning and implementation of a "welcome back" ice skating event for RUF
I hosted the RUF friendsgiving party at my house, this required prepping food the night before food (which I counted from 10 to 11 bc give pulse is weird). The day of we started getting food in the oven and cleaning/ decorating the house at 11AM. I cleaned/cooked/coordinated with the RUF intern and various students who were bringing dishes until 4PM when the event started. From 4-7 I was busy hostessing, and there was an easy hour of clean up once everyone left.
I hosted and planned the RUF Halloween Party. Tasks involved included coordinating the events team to get food, setting up my house to hold people, raking and mowing the yard so people could hang out outside/ so we could safely have a bonfire, decorating, hosting the actual event, and then cleaning up after.
RUF Fugitive night. This was planned by myself alongside my events team within RUF leadership. We decided the route for the game in advance, and on the night of I was in charge of organizing everyone who came to play and making sure that no one had gotten lost or injured in between rounds.
Servant Team meeting/ leadership development. We met for two hours to check in with the various committees within leadership, grow as a team, and be equipped to better serve by the RUF campus minister (Mike Ford).
The events committee met to discuss what the calendar for the semester and delegate people to be in charge of the events to come. Prior to the meeting I had put together a calendar of potential events going through the end of the semester, this was used as a starting point which we expanded on as a group.
Servant team meeting, went over leadership development and started planning for the coming semester.
I went to the recruitment night at root elementary. Not many girls showed up, but we got to hang out with the one who did and her mom, and I got to meet the wonderful women who lead the local troop! Rachel Hiller gave me her card to put down as a contact for the event, her number is (479) 695-1818 if confirmation is necessary.
Spent two hours shopping for groceries and other items in preparation for a camping/ float trip organized by RUF.
