Patterson Park Family Work Day at the Playground

I picked up tools Friday—love your new digs. The park cleanup fun as usual. Great time with my neighbors working and appreciating our park. Met a grandfather who works nearby and brought his grandkids to help. He wants to do this all over Austin!

Everyone worked hard and had a great time. The kids were awesome. I have never seen kids racing to fill mulch sleds and dragging them in relays to see who worked the hardest.

Patterson Park Community Garden Grand Opening and Dance of the Cosmos Unveiling

The neighborhood turned out in droves. Many children, very happy to see not just the bouncy house and ice cream but the garden, sculpture, and screen printing demo.
