Passion Impact

I've been out of the office as of lately and it feels great to be back today and working with my fellow interns here today. We had our group meeting as usual on Tuesdays and we talked about our next project as interns to tackle in the next two weeks. We are tasked to create a sustainable plan for future interns or volunteers to learn the tasks or skills that we somewhat mastered throughout the internship. The plan is to make it easier for the people who are considering tackling the job in the future and hope that they don't struggle as much like how we somewhat did.

JADE Night Market: Night 2

Tabling at the Jade Night Market felt like a success because we had no problems having people sign up to learn more about passion impact and what they do there. Food was amazing, performance was also fun to watch and the vibe of the night was the best part. You could sense the enjoyment from the community through laughter and smiles. I enjoyed every second of Jade and I hope to do it again next year!

the day began with our usual meetings on Tuesdays, we talked about what we needed to get done for the week and to prepare for upcoming events. I personally was working on the press release, rewriting and editing my tone for press releases but im learning to become better at it. i feel like I am falling behind on the work that needs to be completed but i know for a fact that I can complete my work before the internship is over!

Passion Impact

Summer works hosted the reverse career fair at the Multnomah athletic center and hosted a bunch of other summer works interns and had them and including us share what we've done throughout the course of our internship. They had an inspirational speaker at the event and taught us about perseverance, and determination.

On this day we continued promoting passion impact at the Franklin registration day and did that by having the kids sign up with their email to send them more information about Passion impact and to see if they're willing to volunteer in the future!

Passion Impact

Today we got up bright and early to help with the franklin high school registration and helped promote passion impact by having kids sign up for the givepulse about passion impact. After that we concluded our day with our final speaker series of the summer. I learned how to communicate better with students and strategizing on how to be better at promoting passion impact.

Passion Impact

Today I helped prepare for FHS registration days for Passion impact. Our goal is to have more kids know more about Passion impact than last year. I also created a reminder post for the conclusion of the speaker series!

Passion Impact

late start for me, but I began editing some photos for the second photo album for Passion Impact! the best part of the day was when we had a volunteer event where we hosted the Pan-African Students to a welcoming event at the Passion Impact Office. We helped them feel special and created a fun welcoming vibe by playing some games and talked about passions from different communities. The best part of this event is that we were able to impact each other despite the language barrier. I was glad that they had a great time there, everyone including the interpreter was having a time of their lives. This is something I highly recommend doing in the future.
