Tangram is a nonprofit that provides services for adults with disabilities. This year Rotary volunteers will be working on one of the resident’s home on the southeast side of town. We need 7 to 10 volunteers to help Tangram do some outside Spring Clean Up. Please bring your work gloves, shovel, rake (leaf and dirt), wheelbarrow, hedge trimmers, ladder, and any other yard tools you feel you may need to help.
We will be working on: Plant tomatoes/flowers in planters, Trim bushes, Remove (if possible) two dead bushes, Weed landscape beds and plant flowers between bushes (and maybe along ramp/around mailbox), Mow lawn, Wash outside windows (if time permits), Clean out shed (if haul-away is possible), Move extra packs of shingles on porch to the shed, Pick up trash, Make small repairs to wooden railing on ramp, Remove weeds beneath deck (trimmer/weed whacker would work best for this).
Tools needed: Wheel Barrow, Shovels, rakes, Hedge trimmers, Extension cords, Step ladder to reach windows, Saw or chains saw to cut dead bushes at ground level, Weed whacker, Deck screws, Drill, Your own work gloves (Tangram may have some as well)
Hose, Lawn mower to help with mowing (there is one at the house), Gas
Would be nice to have: Pickup truck to haul away trash
