Come participate in fun activities with kiddos while parents have the opportunity to take some time to themselves! Parents will drop their children off at 1:00 p.m. and volunteers and staff from ABA Today will provide a safe, fun, inclusive environment for the children until parents pick them back up at 4:00 p.m.
***Since this event is for families that have children with Autism, the staff from ABA Today will provide a free, one-time training for volunteers prior to the event. This training is mandatory, once you've been trained you can volunteer for all future Respite dates.
This event give parents the opportunity to take a much needed break! Respite parents reported:
"We just had our first meal out in over a year! Thank you so much!"
"We had such a great time on Saturday. We actually got to see a movie that was not rated G! From what I can tell, our child had a great time too. The volunteers were absolutely wonderful, welcoming and gracious and the Easter Seals gym is so cool!"
Must have a negative TB skin test on file, complete a background check through Easter Seals, and attend the mandatory training before the event.
