Neighborhood Volunteer Event: Cleanup Govalle Park and Boggy Creek!

Thank you for volunteering to give back to Govalle Park, a beautiful gem in East Austin!  We will be supporting the health of the park by cleaning up litter around the park and creek.

What to bring: Wear comfortable, long-sleeved outdoor clothing that will protect you from both the sun and devious poison ivy. Pants, gloves, hat, grippy, water-resistant boots, sunscreen and a water bottle recommended!  Robin from the Austin Parks Foundation will supply gloves, trash grabbers, trash bags, and buckets. Does anyone have a kayak they could bring? It would make gathering the trash on the banks of the creek so much easier!

Where to meet: We will gather at 9AM at the Basketball Court.

Parking information: Parking is available in the on-site parking lot. There is additional parking if you make the next left as you drive east on Bolm Road. Park by the baseball field, then walk across the pedestrian bridge to the basketball court.
