Sapling Planting

The City of Grand Rapids had to remove a section of Ball Perkins Park that was being taken over by invasive species. To restore the area, they will be planting lots of native saplings! Join with Friends of Grand Rapids Parks, and Executive Director and US Army Veteran Stacy Bare to plant trees in honor of Veterans Day at Ball Perkins Park from 11 a.m to 1 p.m.

Stacy stated, "One of the best ways to welcome our veterans home is to continue to work to create opportunities for healthy engagement of outdoor spaces. I can think of few better ways to celebrate our veterans, than coming outside to plant trees in our public spaces"
