About
We will be planting bareroot trees and shrubs around a restored wetland area and elsewhere on the property to restore a previously forested area. Our goal is to use the property as a native plant nursery and community space that educates the public on the importance of using native plants to provide habitat and ecosystem services.
This project was orignally planned for April 22 but has been rescheduled to Monday April 29th due to unforseen delays at our site.
Please make sure to wear sunscreen and boots or shoes you do not mind getting muddy. Our site will be freshly regraded and has no turf grass or mulch. Please also bring a refillable water bottle and a snack, if desired. We will have some tools available but any additional shovels are greatly appreciated.
Thank you for volunteering your time!
