About
Register to volunteer at Pride Picnic!
This is the fifth-annual Pride celebration at Pease Park and is a free, fun-for-all, and family-friendly celebration, presented in partnership by Pease Park Conservancy and Future Front Texas.
All Ages Welcome; Participants under 13 years of age will require guardian supervision
Please note all participants are required to complete the registration.
👷♂️ What to Expect
Volunteers during this shift will help set up key areas for the event, move furniture, help partners load in and set up their booths, and do any other tasks that would come up before the event starts.
🥾 What to Bring and Wear
Pease Park Conservancy will provide all necessary materials for tasks and volunteer roles. Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing as well as closed-toed shoes.
🚘 Parking Information
Parking is limited in Kingsbury Commons; we highly encourage alternative modes of transportation such as carpooling, public transportation, walking, biking, or rideshare.
If you do drive, FREE parking can be found at either the House Park Recreation Center (1301 Shoal Creek Blvd) or the ACC Rio Grande Parking Garage (824 West 12th St). Combined, these parking options offer 500 FREE parking spots, and are just a short 5-minute walk to Pease Park along the Shoal Creek Greenbelt Trail.
📍 Meeting Location
Once you arrive at Pease Park (1100 Kingsbury Street), please check in at the PPC welcome tent. This will be on the South Lawn of Kingsbury Commons, just across from the Picnic Table area. Upon checking in, you will be designated a task.
A note about Pease Park Conservancy's events:
If you sign up, please make every effort to show up. Our events are free, so all of our community members can attend. But we plan our events to be meaningful for the number of people who register to be there, so please make every effort to attend if you have registered. We understand things come up from time to time, but if you have registered, we look forward to having you there! Thank you!
