Description

Faculty Listening Circles provide a safe, respectful space for faculty to share experiences, voice concerns, and engage in meaningful dialogue around topics that impact their professional and personal lives. These circles are grounded in principles of active listening, empathy, and confidentiality.

Key Features:

• Voluntary Participation: Faculty choose to participate and contribute at their comfort level.
• Facilitated Dialogue: Sessions are guided by trained facilitator Dr. Martha Hurley.
• Focused Themes: Each circle may center on a specific theme (e.g., workload, equity, teaching challenges, well-being). Topics are created in consultation with FIT and Faculty Senate Executive Officers.
• Confidentiality: What is shared in the circle stays in the circle, fostering trust and openness.
• Non-Hierarchical: All voices are valued equally, regardless of rank or role.
