This event took me back to the time I taught English in Thailand for a summer during high school. I helped native Spanish speakers read and verbally communicate in both English and Spanish both one-on-one and then in a group setting in a computer lab. I learned about the elementary school's program in trying to easily transition the children into speaking English, and it was very insightful! The kids were great and the volunteer in charge was super sweet and open to questions. I plan on completing service hours again here next semester!

A great experience! It was really enjoyable to see the smile on the little girl's face when I helped her read a book as well as reading words out loud.
