I worked to prepare Easter Breakfast for the entire church and then checked each person in making sure that they had signed up and paid for their breakfast!!
Every Thursday I volunteer at my church with the middle school youth group. During this time we play games, share daily accomplishments, and study the word of God. Through this time I have been able to grow closer to these kids and see them fall more in love with Christ each week.
I was a judge at DeAngelo Williams annual corn hole tournament that benefits his breast cancer philanthropy. This event was so much fun because it involved greek life, many student organizations, and the athletic teams from the university. There were also a bunch of food trucks and other fun activities to participate in along with the tournament!
During this time, I helped middle school kids reflect on their faith and focus on all that they have in life. We also prepared hygiene kits for the people in Memphis that do not have access to these items. When the famine was over, I helped prepare breakfast for all of the kids to fill their "starving" tummies.
At this event, I helped set up and run a spreading sunshine fundraising event! The event was at Pimentos and I helped inform people about what spreading sunshine is as well as do crafts with kids!
I volunteered at the Greenline 1/2 Marathon at Shelby Farms Park. While volunteering, I was in charge of parking. I had to direct each person in the right direction to pick up their packet for the race. After that, I had a team that I assembled to direct each person where to park their cars. I worked from 6am until 11am.
