Being the director of the Civic Engagement Board has been so rewarding. I love that I am able to help with donation drives and drop them off at each location. Memphis Child Advocacy Center, Grace House, Micah House, Catholic Charities, and the Book Donation Drive during Read Across America Week. I love going to each organization and seeing all the smiling faces as we bring in the items we collected. I enjoy helping unload and organize at the sites and really seeing how much of an impact we make as a school.

The Student and Staff Social was so fun to put together and serve our staff. They were so excited to have a quick break from what they were doing and show that we really appreciated them. I loved serving them and being able to brighten their day.

I loved working in the plant nursery at Memphis Botanic Gardens! We were able to move plants to be bought, tag them, and price them. I loved learning about the plants and how they help our environment.

I love the Memphis Rox community and all that they do for the surrounding area! We helped pick up trash and debris around the neighborhood to ensure the community was able to look at a clean and safe community.

The Works in Progress Symposium is always such a great event for students to showcase the research they've been working on. At this particular event, I was able to volunteer as a proctor and monitor the students presenting their research. These students worked really hard in their research and I was happy to be a part of this event by introducing and monitoring their sessions.

This event was amazing! We packaged over 6,000 pounds of food to be given to those in need in the city of Memphis. Everyone was eager to work together and package the food in the hour and a half we had. The system used to package everything went really well and was so beneficial to me. I loved every second of it and I definitely would love to partner with them again.

I love being able to introduce others to the Honors College. During Discover your major day I was able to help freshmen and others who were interested in joining the Honors College learn more about what it has to offer. There are plenty of opportunities that are available for honors students and I always feel like it is so much more beneficial to talk to others in person!

During this event, we collected items for Memphis Child Advocacy Center and sent students out into the community to serve. During this event, I helped with Memphis Child Advocacy Center, by donating items and bringing them to the center. We always partner with them and they love getting items from Memphis students.
