i volunteered at the mamma jamma ride today, working as set up crew and helping cheer as well as passing out water to the participants. all the bicyclist did an amazing job ride and enduring through the heat and it was such a great event to help support breast cancer awareness.

today i volunteered with project 2016. as always it was a successful day working with the community of austin and my fellow longhorns. i worked at the site of bridgeport and helped repaint the rails of the bridge. we started putting on the primer and for the final product we reapplied sliver paint. the best part of the day was not just about helping the community of austin look better but, being able to share this day and meeting many other students/volunteers to be apart of what makes this community great.
that weekend i had the privilege to volunteer again with marathon kids 2015 with the vietnamese student association. i had the opportunity to go out and promote good health to kids and motivate them by cheering them on to the finish line. this is one of my favorite community service project because, my goal is to also promote good health and to do so, it must start with kids. it was also great to see UT athletics come out as well to support this kids from so many elementary schools. contact brittany nguyen for information at Community@texasvsa.org

i volunteered with texas vietnamese student association at warrior dash. we helped prepare for the race early in the morning. we arrived at 5:30 in the morning and it didn't start till 7 and ended at 12pm. contact van bui at utvsacommunitychair@gmail.com
