Texas THON raised a record breaking $10,810 at their Pancake Night! I got to make pancakes, manage the kitchen, organize people waiting in line for pancakes, helped in the pancake eating contest with several leaders in campus who participated, managed the dining room, helped count money, helped clean up and check in people coming into the event. It was really beautiful to see all of Texas THON come together to help make the event a success and raise money For The Kids at Dell Children's Medical Center. It was a lot of fun! Everyone was really excited and working really hard so that more people continue to come and we continue to make miracles.
It was beautiful to see all of Texas THON's committee and leadership come together to create and set up everything for the Day Of. It was really nice to see where all of our hard work went in to and also be behind the scenes to see how the Day Of works. Great day, hard work, amazing people.
It was a really cool event in which I got to see the students of UT and the TIP community come together to make care packages for the homeless and letters for the troops. It was also a nice destress event :)
I had an amazing day volunteering at the TIP Challenge. It was really nice seeing all of the new students that were going to join the TIP family as well as get to see how they interacted with their mentors. It was a really fun day and a great start to the year.
This was an incredible event were people help raise over $250,000 for Seton Medical Center. It was very rewarding to see how people were willing to donate their time and money for this wonderful medical center that will truly help save and improve the lives of many. I definitely want to volunteer at this event again. The people who help organize this event were very nice and welcoming.
This was an incredible event were we got to see and help parents and families interact with their children. It was very nice to see how much families cared for their children. It was an extremely well prepared volunteer event and my group and I will definitely be coming back to help.
We sold ice cream for $1 to help raise money for Texas THON. Since it was a little bit cold and because of the time, we were not able to raise a lot of money, as other days. It was still very fun.
This was a very fulfilling event because my group and I had the opportunity to turn of about 130 lights in WRW. We were able to realize how important it is to conserve energy and notice that many lights are remained turned on throughout buildings at UT. I am now telling everybody to turn the lights off when they are not in use and to join the dark side.
This was an amazing and fulfilling experience. It felt so good to see all of the little kids get excited when they got to choose their books to take home, it gave me a lot of motivation and made me feel really happy that there are still kids who still care a lot about their education. It was also really nice to see how much the children's parents cared about their children's education.
