I was a poll watcher at two separate voting locations . My job was to simply watch people vote and make sure the election clerk and judges we're following the rules and that no one was influencing the voters or telling them how to vote, while also making sure that no one was discriminated and that everyone was allowed to vote with proper identification . It was a little boring i have to admit because i wasn't allowed to talk anybody but it was worthwhile because it is such an important part of our american civic duty .

With a big group of people from an organization called Intervarsity we held an event called the big serve. The point of the big serve was to help people throughout communities in austin . the one i was paired with was the Chichon Pregnancy Center in which i helped pass out fliers and sort out donations for needy people later on.
Our job is to walk people back to their homes safely and without incident late at night.

Had a great time helping out with Micah 6! First we helped clean and assort any products that were being given away and by that I mean we threw away produce that had started to rot or things that were expired. Once we had removed all the bad from the good we waited for the food pantry to officially start . What happens here is that people from all over austin that are in need of food come down to get free food . We had all sorts of things to offer; a huge variety of fruits and vegetables, milk, cereal, pasta , beans, snacks , peanut butter, meat, bread, it was amazing. My job while people were getting for was to help people with their baskets if it was getting to heavy for them . It was overall an amazing experience one in which i won't forget anytime soon because it taught me to appreciate the things that i have at least while i do .
