Sorted books into totes for Pleasant Hill Elementary School and Ortega Elementary school. Each school had numerous and different grade levels with multiple classes that needed 36 books in each tote with some totes needing Spanish/English books.
Helped put books into storage boxes to be sent to elementary school students.
Unloaded books from vehicles to rooms and then labeled books to be sent to elementary school students for reading.
Went to the GSB and turned off any lights/projectors to conserve energy.
Helped table for UTCS Roadshow for ExploreUT and helped present a presentation for 7th-12th graders on computer science.
Helped give a presentation to Memorial High School about Computer Science, Software Engineering, and UT.
I participated in UT Explore by volunteering for the UTCS Roadshow organization. I presented a presentation to K-6 kids about computer science and its areas. I then help with the Get Your Code Name activity.
I was a proctor for middle school students in math and science tests. I prepared the testing room before the students came in by placing tests, scantrons, pencils, etc in the room. During the test, I was responsible for keeping track of the time and writing how much time was left on the board. After the time expired, I picked up testing materials.
