I helped work the concession stand for festival. I manned the cash box for the entire time I was there. It reminded me of when I was in band.
This event was so fun to usher! The kids who came loved it. Watching their joy was such a great way of getting volunteer hours.
We volunteered at the CCHS for 2.5 hours. For the first hour and a half, I helped socialize young, five-week-old kittens. I pet them, let them explore, and climb. For the final hour, I helped wipe down kennels, walls, and cat trees in the cat room.
I volunteered for the Zero Waste Hockey Game. I volunteered for 2 shifts. I helped sort waste into compost, recycling, and trash. After the game, I swept the stands for any waste left behind and sorted that as well. This is my second time volunteering for this style event.
We volunteered at The Bluffs, which is an assisted living home. We completed crafts and spent time with the elderly. It was nice to hear about the residents' lives and give them an outlet to share. We completed this event as a sorority.
We were preparing for the “big pack” for the winter holidays. I mostly broke down and condensed empty boxes. 31 backpacks is always pleasant to volunteer for.
We decorated and cleaned the home for the holidays. It was very fun and nice to spread the love.
I volunteered with 31 Backpacks. We helped sort food into bags for individual students and pack these bags into the containers for each respective school. As always, the volunteer coordinators were lovely and very kind.
