My team was tasked with tending to a rosemary bush near a white gate and magnolia tree. It was nice to be able to get my hands dirty and reconnect with nature, as well as the people around me.

Being able to donate to others in need is always a blessing for both yourself and your community. It allows you the opportunity to step outside of one’s personal life, and enter into the lives of others through giving.
During my time at the Greensboro Arboretum I helped keep track of the amount of citizens that entered the art event, as well as tended to dogs, and cleaned up the park.
In an effort to support the CROP Hunger Walk, I donated $15 to help fund the organization
Knowing I could be a blessing in someone’s home is amazing to me! The can goods drive allowed me to reflect on what I have and how I can help others obtain it too.
While volunteering at the Greensboro Veterans Center I gained many life skills such as organization and problem solving. When my group and I arrived at the center we were tasked with cleaning and organizing certain rooms in the center that needed the most attention. Though there was a lot of hard labor involved, I immensely enjoyed the company of my peers and the feeling of helping others in need.
