Participated in set up, talked to students, and tore down the snowboard race team booth at K-day.
Helped Lucee with moving
I have been online volunteering with Zooniverse off and on throughout the semester. It's a really cool website where I can identify different animals in different parts of the world using trail cameras. The projects I have worked on are Snapshot Dubuque Iowa, The American Prairie Cameras for Conservation, and Wildwatch Kenya.
Scanned people in at the doors.
Usher at the event, pep band was cool to listen to!
Lucee is a resident assistant in DHH who recently tore her ACL and MCL and could no longer live on the second floor. I helped move her new ADA room around to her preference and move her items from her previous room to her new room.
Walked a dog!
West Michigan Women for Wetlands is a partner of Ducks Unlimited. It is a women run conservation group based in Grand Rapids, MI, dedicated to raising funds for the conservation of wilderness and wetlands across North America. Over the summer I helped the group create decor and plan for the main fundraising event of the year (attached is the official invitation for the event). I have been apart of this group for 2 years now, but I have been volunteering with them for 4 years. Our facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/LadyDucksofWestMichigan. Also please feel free to Email Vicki Filipchuck for confirmation of my volunteer hours!
