During this volunteer shift, we had to create the boxes before we pack the orders and we also were packing bags for senior citizens over 60. It was kind of interesting because high school freshman were also volunteering for school and we got to help them with the volunteering as well. It was nice to see younger kids giving back to the community. We packed around 240 donations and we were able to break down on the boxes on time and get everything cleaned up. It was all and all a great experience, as it always is!

On this day we still filled donation orders but instead of filling boxes we filled up bags with items for senior citizens over 60. We were able to fill about 300 orders. It was a great experience because I met a girl that was also from Howard and we were able to talk about school while also being able to give back to the community.

I volunteered at Capital Area Food Bank to pack food orders. We were able to pack 330 boxes and we also made many boxes for the next group to use when packing food into the boxes. It was a great experience and I met a lot of great people!

I volunteered at Capital Area Food Bank. I had a great time meeting new people and we were able to pack over 300 donations of food. We each had a job whether it was packing, taping, or moving the boxes. At the end we all helped clean up and set up the next round of donations for next week.
