I love that Team LFL continued to do this project this year. I think the majority of people understand that some books are banned or challenged, but really don't understand the scope of titles and communities that are being targeted. I think most people are surprised to see how many books (especially picture books) that are banned or challenged have black and brown characters on the front.

I shared one of my recent favorite books about upcycling books into art, The Reporposed Library, by Lisa Occhipinti. I left it in the adorable, License to Read #210601, owned by local artist Cat Snapp. I hope it brings some inspiration to the next reader, just like it did me!
