Meeting at the picnic tables at the corner of 33rd St and Diamond St
Objective: Beginner to moderate paced walks, building endurance & familiarity on the trail leading up to the annual Boxer's Trail 5k race day event. WeWalkPHL Boxer's Trail family-friendly prep walks will start at Mander Rec through the wooded trail & back. This is practice! Be on time. We are encouraging intentional paced intervals, breathing, shoes with good tread, bring water, a smile, tell a friend, dress appropriately for the weather & let's #GetHealthyPhilly Shout out to our wonderful walk leaders! Teamwork makes the dream work! The last 2 walks we plan to practice the full 5k especially for the folks that plan to participate on race day! All are welcome to challenge themselves on the Boxer's Trail, take in the history & scenery as you build endurance doing your personal best each time whether you attend race day or not. Let's walk! Jog if you'd like! 🌳 The trail is dirt & gravel with inclines & a beautiful tree canopy to keep us a few degrees cool while on the trail! 🌳 Come, practice & learn more about joining the WeWalkPHL team on race day with our special code. Thanks to our friends at FPC & PPR. Check out the website for race day info, trail history, volunteering & and more. https://www.boxerstrail5k.com/ We will need intentional volunteers for race day cheer squads at the finish line to celebrate our walking #ParkChampions on Sept 16th. Come through!

Its TOO HOT!!
We will not be outside walking today 7/27 in the trail.
✨️However, we are encouraged to participate right where we are moving our bodies in ways we can through exercise!
✨️Post your safe cool healthy initiatives to inspire others to get active in ways they can, safely!
Stay cool & safe in this heat folks!
✨️Start with your mindset to get there & do your personal best.
✨️Start with your mindset to get up & get outside to walk to build endurance one step at a time.
Start with your mindset & add years to your life by walking in nature and with other healthy movements.
Thank you for understanding. Be safe
