I helped run the LGBTQ vocab booth where we offered resources on sexuality to students and quizzed students on terms such as asexual and cisgender.
I helped work the Gender Role booth where I asked attendees to list 2 gender role stereotypes. I also set up the bowling pins over and over again.
I helped set up tables and chair for the carnival. I filled the duck pond up with water.
I tabled and let UofA students know about the food drive at the baseball games this weekend.
Table at the period supply drive for an hour
I got to go to 2 local area Harps and collect produce set aside that is not considered good enough to sell in the store, but is perfectly fine to eat. Then, we dropped off some food in the 24/7 cooler outside of Feed Communities and took half of the 200-something pounds of food we collected to Headstart Elementary.
Me and three members of Wesley assisted a woman with moving boxes and furniture from one house to the other. We also drove to the salvation army and donated some chairs.
I am a member of the SEAME RSO on campus. SEAME aims to inform the student body about marine ecosystems and fundraise for various marine life supporting charities. In partnership with the Wildlife Society, I went to Bernice Young Elementary on November 12th. Me and the outreach coordinator, Jack, spoke to a first grade class about ecosystems, particularly about Arkansas' ecosystems. We showed them a powerpoint presentation, videos, sound clips of animal noises, and passed around photos of wildlife.
Me and a group of three other members of the Wesley College Ministry went to a member of the congregations house and cleaned it. Tasks included cleaning the floors, baseboards, kitchen, and bathrooms.
